Many of us...

wait...

for the perfect moment.

The perfect plan.

The perfect confidence.

The perfect certainty.

But most journeys...

don't begin...

because everything...

is figured out.

They begin...

because someone...

decides...

to take...

the first step.

Not knowing...

exactly...

where it will lead.

Only knowing...

that staying...

in the same place...

is no longer enough.

Looking back...

I don't think...

our lives...

are changed...

by one giant leap.

They're shaped...

by small decisions...

made consistently...

over time.

Maybe...

the journey...

you've been waiting for...

doesn't begin...

when everything...

is ready.

Maybe...

it begins...

the moment...

you decide...

to start.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Looking back...

what was...

one small decision...

that changed...

your life?

Many of us...

believe...

confidence...

comes first.

That one day...

we'll finally feel...

ready enough...

to begin.

But that's rarely...

how growth...

works.

Confidence...

isn't usually...

the reason...

people start.

It's often...

the result...

of starting.

One small step.

One lesson.

One attempt.

One mistake.

One more try.

Little by little...

uncertainty...

becomes experience.

Experience...

becomes confidence.

Maybe...

we've been waiting...

for something...

that only appears...

after...

we begin.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

When you look back...

did confidence...

come first?

Or did it grow...

along the way?

IS IT EVER...

TOO LATE...

TO BEGIN?

Recently...

someone asked me...

a simple question.

"Is it...

too late...

to start now?"

I paused...

because I realized...

it wasn't really...

a question...

about time.

It was a question...

about possibility.

Sometimes...

we believe...

our age...

our degree...

or the path...

we've already taken...

has decided...

what we're allowed...

to become.

But I don't think...

that's how...

growth works.

Every journey...

begins...

the same way.

With the decision...

to take...

the first step.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Have you ever...

wondered...

if it was too late...

to start something new?

One idea...

can quietly limit...

our potential.

The belief...

that where we begin...

is where we'll always stay.

The course we entered.

The first job we accepted.

The opportunities...

that happened to be available.

Sometimes...

we mistake...

our starting point...

for our destination.

But they aren't...

always the same.

A beginning...

is simply...

where the journey starts.

Not where it ends.

What matters more...

is our willingness...

to keep learning.

To stay curious.

And to continue growing...

one step at a time.

Because our future...

is shaped...

by far more...

than our first opportunity.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Have you ever started somewhere...

that eventually led...

to something you never expected?

One belief...

can quietly shape...

the decisions we make.

That we need to choose...

the "right" path...

from the very beginning.

The right course.

The right career.

The right opportunity.

The right path.

But life...

rarely follows...

a perfectly planned route.

Many people discover...

that the work they love today...

wasn't where they originally expected to end up.

Not because they failed.

Not because they made the wrong choice.

But because...

they kept learning.

They stayed curious.

And they remained open...

to opportunities...

they never expected.

Maybe...

our first choice...

doesn't have to define...

our entire journey.

Sometimes...

the path that shapes us most...

is the one we never planned to take.

Later today...

I'll be sharing...

why this idea...

became so personal to me.

I'd love to hear your story.

Has your journey ever taken you somewhere...

you never expected...

but are now grateful for?

One question...

comes up more often...

than you might expect.

"Am I ready?"

Not...

"Can I learn?"

Not...

"Can I become a software engineer?"

Just...

"Am I ready?"

It's an interesting question.

Because it suggests...

the problem may not be our ability.

It may be...

our perception of readiness.

Many people don't hesitate...

because they lack potential.

They hesitate...

because they believe...

they need to feel completely ready...

before they begin.

But what if...

readiness isn't the starting point?

What if...

it's something we develop...

by taking the first step?

Perhaps...

before we teach programming...

before we teach AI...

before we teach software engineering...

we first need to help people understand...

that beginning...

and being ready...

are not always the same thing.

Because every conversation...

every question...

and every experience...

helps us understand...

not just Think Before You Build...

but the people we're trying to help...

a little better.

I'd love to hear your story.

What do you think has been the biggest thing stopping you from taking your first step?

14/07/2026

Over the past six days...

we've shared some of the biggest discoveries behind Think Before You Build.

From why the original Bootcamp changed...

to how AI changed the learning journey...

to why engineering knowledge matters more than prompts...

each reflection became another step...

in discovering what Think Before You Build is really about.

But as I reflected on those discoveries...

one question kept coming back.

What actually stops people...

from taking the first step?

Is it programming?

Is it AI?

Is it software engineering itself?

Or is it something much simpler?

The more I reflected...

the more I started realizing...

that many people don't take the first step...

because they don't believe they're ready.

Not because they lack potential.

Maybe...

before we teach software engineering...

before we teach AI...

before we teach programming...

we first need to help people understand...

that it's okay not to know everything.

That it's okay to ask questions.

That it's okay to start...

before feeling completely ready.

I think...

that's the next conversation...

worth having.

Because every conversation...

every question...

and every experience...

helps us understand...

not just Think Before You Build...

but the people we're trying to help...

a little better.

Thank you to everyone...

who has been following this journey.

Whether you've read quietly...

reacted...

shared a post...

or joined the conversation...

thank you.

I hope...

you'll continue discovering...

with us.

I don't think Think Before You Build is finished.

I don't even think...

we've fully discovered it yet.

Every internship.

Every workshop.

Every client project.

Every Bootcamp.

Every experiment.

Adds another piece...

to the puzzle.

We're not writing a methodology...

in isolation...

and hoping it works.

We're discovering it...

through engineering practice.

Every success.

Every mistake.

Every question.

Every student.

Every conversation.

Teaches us...

something new.

That's why...

we'll continue sharing...

what we're learning.

Not because...

we have all the answers.

But because...

every experience...

helps us understand it...

a little better.

If you've been following this journey...

thank you.

I hope...

you'll continue discovering it...

with us.

I thought the prompt was the secret.

It wasn't.

As we kept improving...

our engineering documents...

the AI kept producing...

better implementations.

The strange part?

The prompt...

barely changed.

That made me stop...

and ask myself:

"If the prompt is essentially the same...

why is the output getting better?"

The answer surprised me.

It wasn't the prompt.

It was the engineering knowledge...

behind it.

Better requirements.

Better constraints.

Better context.

Better decisions.

The better we understood the problem...

the better AI was able...

to help us build the solution.

That realization changed...

how I think about software engineering.

It also changed...

how I think about AI.

I thought I was validating the Bootcamp.

The Bootcamp ended up validating me.

Going into our first cohort...

I thought we were testing...

an AI-assisted software engineering workflow.

Instead...

the students revealed assumptions...

I didn't even realize I was making.

Things I thought were obvious...

weren't obvious.

Things I thought would take minutes...

took hours.

Looking back...

I realized...

I had been seeing the Bootcamp...

through the eyes of a software engineer...

not through the eyes of someone...

experiencing software engineering...

for the very first time.

That changed how I looked at everything.

It wasn't that the students were struggling.

It was that...

I needed to teach differently.

The Bootcamp wasn't broken.

It was helping me understand...

where students actually were.

And that's exactly...

what validation is supposed to do.
