Global laptop sales continue to be dominated by a small group of major manufacturers, with the latest data showing a clear gap between the market leaders and the rest of the field. At the top sits Lenovo, which leads the global market with around 48.5 million units sold annually. Its strong presence across consumer, business, and education segments has helped the company maintain its position as the worldβs best-selling laptop brand.
In second place is HP, recording approximately 39 million units sold per year. HP remains highly competitive due to its broad product range, spanning affordable consumer laptops to enterprise-grade devices. Close behind is Dell, which ranks third with about 28.5 million units sold, driven largely by strong corporate demand and its reputation for reliability and after-sales support.
Beyond the top three, the rankings reflect a diverse global market with well-known names such as Apple, ASUS, Acer, and Samsung competing for market share, alongside more specialized players like MSI and Huawei. While sales volumes drop sharply after the top tier, these brands continue to shape innovation, pricing, and design trends worldwide. Overall, the data highlights how a few dominant players still define the global laptop industry, even as competition remains intense across regions and segments.
