FAN SPIN, NO DISPLAY TO NO POWER

DIAGNOSIS: as per client says while browsing the card suddenly gets no display, fans still spin tho sometimes it'll display but still.. While testing the card it seems fine to run a couple of times on the bench and suddenly the card goes p**f 💨 no power on the day of repair.

issue: shorted line on 12V 8 pin connector PCIE due to faulty DRMOSFET.

solved by replacing the DRMOSFET and the card is back to life.

replaced new thermal paste and stress test for an hour.

BOARD LEVEL ISSUE ❌

were checked by previous big tech's in dumaguete, they thought the battery and charger was faulty tho it ends there on the diagnosis.

The client ordered a battery for me to replace it but it didn't work the way we expected as the battery was not powering the board either, noticed when unplugging the charger the laptop died but the battery though was detected while on plug 🔋 on the windows but it didn't charge 🤷🏼‍♂️

1st case issue: faulty cap on battery circuit near battery port, the battery didn't pass through the main rail ❌ and no power feeding to power the laptop 🫩

✅ solved by removing the faulty cap the battery now can pass through and power the laptop with its new battery 💯 but.... it didn't end there.

2nd case issue: Battery OK✅ funny thing the charger didnt carry voltage on the battery and still no LED ORANGE INDICATOR (CHARGING) and there is something restricting it as the back of the card were bugs nesting around charging circuit, luckily just a faulty cap 🥹.

✅solved by removing the 2nd faulty cap on charging circuit and ORANGE LED INDICATOR is showing up means the laptop now charging and is fully working 💯

also removed the button reset as the button were stuck and faulty.

replaced new thermal paste formatted with new windows 10 activated with lifetime activation of microsoft 365 office as per client requested ☺️🤲🏼

has power but no display ❌

issue: missing 1.8v EN signal from a faulty missing output of a 5 pin LOGIC GATE MOSFET.❌ with missing 1.8v CORE won't initiate as the pex 1V, memory 1.3V became missing with the correct power sequence

solved by scrutinizing every line and replacing the faulty component, PEX, memory and CORE became alive as per power sequence 😉✅

replaced with new thermal paste and stress test for a couple of minutes, so far CARD is working smoothly 💯

-upon physical check the 3.3v buck converter was fried and shorted while pulling out the shorted part it was not yet over however it still shorted where it goes to the PCH of the SOC consist of CPU and PCH which draw 2 amps 💀

possible issue when 3.3v buck converter, the 5v or 19v push through the PCH which causes the short.

WHEN PCH IS SHORTED ITS ALL OVER UNLESS THERE IS AN AVAILABLE SOC REPLACEMENT CONSIST OF CPU AND PCH. 👌🏼

Another satisfied client 💯🤞🏼

SOLVED MSI 1660 SUPER✨

- was checked by two big techs in dumaguete but couldn't identify the issue and purposely attempted to reflow the GPU CORE to make the card work, but upon diagnosis it wasn't the core. REFLOW should be done when diagnosed properly or you will kill the GPU by mistake and REFLOW should only be done when it's the last resort‼️

issue: issue no display upon checking there is a shortened component, a busted synchronous buck converter who draws .200mv on PEX RAIL where it should be 1v if it's working it would enable connection between gpu and motherboard. ❌

solved by ONLY replacing that chip ✅
stressed test for 2 hours ✅

after care was cleaned and replaced thermal paste also with 3 weeks warranty 💯
