First Aid for Jellyfish Stings

Prevent blobs (stings) by staying out of the water when jellyfish are known to be present, wear protective clothing like a wetsuit, check local conditions before swimming, avoid areas with sudden change in water temperature.

Treat it:
→ Rinse with vinegar (not fresh water!).
→ Gently scrape off tentacles with a credit card.
→ Soak the area in hot water (not scalding!).
