‎ASAT Tops Division ICT Quiz Bowl
‎
‎The Aparri School of Arts and Trades (ASAT) seized first place in the Division ICT Quiz Bowl during the Division ICT Summit held yesterday in Santa Ana, Cagayan.
‎
‎The ASAT team — composed of teacher Michael Angelo Aguilar and students Mark Asher Utanes and Sherwin Espergal — scored 67 points, maintaining their lead from the start and outperforming teams from other congressional districts.
‎
‎Mark Asher Utanes credited the win to teamwork, perseverance, and the guidance of their coach.
‎
‎“During our review and practice sessions, we worked as one, like a single person. We stayed strong through challenges and kept our integrity throughout. All those sleepless nights were worth it,” Utanes said.
‎
‎Sherwin Espergal added that staying composed under pressure played a key role.
‎
‎“I felt a lot of pressure because of the audience, but I managed to stay calm. Once we got the lead, I felt confident. Being announced as winners made all our late-night reviews worth it,” he said.
‎
‎The Division ICT Summit gathered participants from across Cagayan for competitions and discussions on information and communications technology.
