On 10 August 2026, the International Training Institute was privileged to have Hon. Justice John G.F. Carey, Judge of the Supreme Court and National Court of Papua New Guinea, Judge Administrator and Executive Director of the Papua New Guinea Centre for Judicial Excellence (PNGCJE), conduct a Professional Ethics session for ITI lecturers and staff across all campuses.
The session provided valuable insights into the importance of professional ethics and how ethical behaviour contributes to building trust, professionalism, accountability and a strong organisational reputation.
The session highlighted four fundamental principles of professional ethics:
* Integrity
* Respect
* Responsibility
* Fairness
The key message was clear: Ethics is everyoneโs responsibility. Each employee has a role to play in leading by example and contributing to a culture built on trust, integrity, accountability and professionalism.
International Training Institute sincerely thanks and appreciates Hon. Justice John G.F. Carey and his team for sharing their valuable knowledge and experience with our staff.
Following the session, ITI has invited Hon. Justice Carey to conduct regular professional ethics training for our staff. We are pleased to announce that the next session is scheduled for 16 October 2026.
Building professional excellence through continuous learning and development.
