Introducing Lance, our General Manager - Product. With a Bachelor of Media Arts, majoring in Digital Media (animation and web design) from Wintec, Lance brings a wealth of expertise to the table. His specialties include single-page applications, APIs, and proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.

Before joining Developers Institute, Lance honed his skills with renowned digital agencies in London and Melbourne, where he crafted front-end code for cutting-edge projects. After more than a decade abroad, he returned to New Zealand to contribute his talents to stuff.co.nz, leaving a lasting impact on the digital landscape.

Prior to instructing, Lance led a React Native mobile application project, where he successfully developed an offline-capable app for construction workers to capture quality assurance data. Notable among his projects is a native app for Conqa, which involved API design and building offline-first software.

Lance's extensive experience and innovative mindset make him a valuable asset as our General Manager - Product. Stay tuned for more updates as Lance continues to drive product excellence and inspire our developer community.

The AI for the Environment Hackathon Festival hosted by AI Forum NZ is back for 2023!

We were honoured to be part of the hackathon event held earlier this year in Whangārei, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Northland technology community. Together with Northpower, NGEN Room, PACSBridge, and Modla & Co., we worked on leveraging cloud technology and AI to solve data problems and provide business insights.
