🏡 New resource: Autism Housing Toolkit
Drawing on research, technical expertise, and lived experience, this Autism Housing Toolkit offers free, practical guidance on creating homes that better support the sensory and everyday needs of autistic people (tāngata whaitakiwātanga).
Whether you're renting, flatting, owning your home, or planning a new build, the toolkit includes ideas and solutions to suit a range of budgets and living situations.
Co-led by researcher Marita Broadstock (INSIGHT Research) and autistic accessibility consultant Beth Noble (Access Insights), this mahi was developed as part of the Access Activator programme from Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People.
If you're looking for practical ways to make your home more autism-friendly, this is a valuable resource to explore. We encourage you to take a look and share it with anyone who might find it helpful.
