Vitel Cabling is a well-established and growing company that specialises in fibre optic, computer, and phone cabling – and also provides audio-visual solutions throughout Northland. This owner-operated local business is based in Whangarei and employs a team of 15.

We are now looking for additional data cablers with the core role of completing structured cabling site installation work.

Ideally, you will be able to tick the following boxes:

*A minimum of 2 yrs experience in structured cabling installation – including UTP and Fibre Optic – coupled with a proven ability to understand technical documents, specifications, schedules, and drawings.
*Preferably certified (eg Commscope, Hubbell, Siemon, Schneider, or similar) – with an understanding of current ASNZ standards for commercial premise cabling and pathways.
*Full license (Class 1) - manual gearbox
*Physically and mentally healthy – and willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test and medical check.
*A team player with a great work ethic and a “let's get the job done” attitude.

Your key responsibility will be to ensure the site installation work is completed on time, as specified and within budget.

• Be fit and healthy in order to meet the physical demands of the job.
• Ideally you will have 2-3 years' experience installing structured data cabling and the ability to read and understand technical documents, specifications, schedules and drawings.
• Clean NZ Drivers Licence required.
Experience:
* Structured Cabling Solutions, including Certified UTP Cabling and Fibre Optic Cabling.
* Knowledge of general telecommunications and fibre systems.
* Current ASNZ standards for commercial premise cabling and pathways.
Preferred Qualifications:
* The successful applicant must be certified in one of the following products; Commscope, Hubbell, Siemon, Schneider.
