“I called ConnectNZ regarding my MacBook Air which was not starting up. They took it in and quickly did a report for me. They told me that they would not do any repairs to it without first doing an assessment and then reporting back to me what the problem was. For that they charged a standard $100 + GST report. Good process I thought. The report said the damage was too extensive to repair because of liquid damage inside the laptop and physical dropping damage, and they suggested claiming it on insurance. I was able to use the Connect NZ damage report to show the insurance company and they ok'ed the claim quite quickly. Then Connect NZ offered to transfer the files from my damaged laptop to the new one I purchased and to dispose of the old laptop for me. I picked it up after they did this for me, and they did not charge me any extra for doing this. Very impressed.

During all of this they kept me informed regularly with updates by text and by calls.

I had interactions with the technical service person as well as the front desk customer service person. They were both excellent, helpful and friendly. I was really impressed with them.

I strongly advise you to use these people if you have any issues with your Apple equipment, or indeed with any gear that they service and or sell. They are just great!!"

Myth Busted!

If your 📲 phone keeps crashing, keep calm and work through our troubleshooting list:

🔧 Overheating
If your phone crashes and is feeling warm, keep it out of direct sunlight, close any unused apps, reduce your screen brightness up and take the case off so it can cool down more quickly.

🔧 Specific App issue
If you have an app that stops responding or closes unexpectedly, check the App Store or Google Play Store for app updates. You can also try deleting the app and uploading it again.

🔧 Outdated software
Your phone software may not be compatible with your apps. Check your software updates: 1. iPhone: Go to Settings > General > Software Update and tap Install. 2. Android: Go to Settings > Software update > Check for software updates. 3. Google Pixel: Go to Settings > System > System update > Check for update.

🔧 Lack of storage
If your phone has less than 10% of storage remaining, remove unused apps, delete photos and videos, and move photos or videos off your Phone storage and into the Cloud. 1. iPhone: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage to see available storage. 2. Android: Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Storage to see available storage.
