If you’ve ever wondered how the Kāpiti Community Foodbank runs so smoothly each day, here’s your answer — Jane and Ellen, our incredible Operations Assistants.
These two are the quiet powerhouses behind the scenes, making sure every volunteer has what they need, every task is organised, and every family who comes through our doors receives the support they deserve. Their passion for ensuring local whānau have enough kai on the table shines through in everything they do.
From coordinating donations to keeping our daily operations humming, Jane and Ellen bring heart, dedication, and a whole lot of kindness to the Foodbank.

At SuperGrans Charitable Trust, we are currently supporting two families experiencing hardship whose children urgently need laptops for school.

In today's world, access to a computer is essential for homework, research and staying connected with teachers. With out a reliable device at home, children risk falling behind through no fault of their own.

I'm a Community Navigator with Refugee/Migrant background families in Porirua. The laptop is for Rehana, who is originally from Pakistan. She is studying a level 3 Health & Wellbeing Course and this laptop is going to be essential for her study. This is an amazing business making a big difference to people's lives. Thanks you so much.

My name is Kamran. I am originally from Pakistan. I came to New Zealand 2 years ago as a refugee. I am doing a Health & Wellbeing Course. In the future, I want to be a nurse. This laptop is going to help my study a lot and me to achieve my goals.

My name is Jeremy and I'm 18 years old and I'm here for your help in getting a computer for my homework. I need a computer for work at home but lack the means to buy it, and that is why I need it for my homework and I know it helps me a lot. My aim for next year is to apply to become a policeman and to still learn about English and how to speak good at English and more.

We were thrilled to be chosen by Wellington Girls' College again as their charity of choice for the year! Pictured is co-head girl Korimako Dale (centre) with Foundation CE Guy Ryan and fundraising Advisor, Rose Hurst.

Korimako led the school’s fundraising projects throughout the year to raise an extraordinary $10,000 for the children’s hospital! 🎉🎉

This will be used to buy equipment and resources that help strengthen paediatric care across our region’s hospitals. Thanks also to the student exec and the school whanau for their incredible generosity and mahi. 💛
