Sharing a really special project I was lucky to work on, which also featured on last week.
The items included in this memorial piece carried so much meaning that I travelled to Auckland in person to collect and photograph them, then carried out photo restoration before pulling the final design together.
The finished artwork now hangs at Auckland Hospital, celebrating the life of Alice Horsley, Auckland’s first female doctor.

You know that feeling when you’ve got all the knowledge in your head, all the value to give your clients, but the thought of packaging it into something that actually looks the part makes you want to lie down?
Earlier this year, a lovely mum I’d met on the sidelines of our kids’ football games came to me with exactly that. She runs a nutritional coaching business and needed print collateral that did her expertise justice.
We sat down in the studio with her notes, plans and sketches, and worked out the best way to communicate the genuinely valuable information she shares with her clients.
Yes, Canva has templates. But anyone who’s tried to bend a generic one to fit their specific needs knows the rabbit hole that follows.
What I created for her was a set of reusable, on-brand Canva templates she can adapt and customise for each client in minutes.

The Designer Behind Case In Point Design Studio - Zoe Sizemore

Hey team. I’m back with a refreshed brand after a frustrating summer of scammers impersonating me (please always check emails form me are from a business email: [email protected] no yahoo, gmail, Hotmail !!)

If we haven’t met, here’s a quick intro. Design is in my blood, I love transforming business brands to help them shine and grow. My day-to-day involves optimising and revising Wix websites for clients across New Zealand and Australia, along with Shopify and Squarespace projects. Or working with start-ups to define their branding and then cover all things visual marketing from there. Think of me as your one-stop-shop for all things design!

In the last year we’ve built a beautiful studio out the back of our place in Pāpāmoa, giving me a wee haven to work from and meet clients at.

When I’m not working my magic in the digital realm, you can find me indulging in my love for spicy food, on a crazy garden mission, or perfecting my sourdough baking. All fuelled by good coffee.

I’m also an environmental artist/painter whenever inspiration strikes. I love the water and being warm is distant and remote countries, as well as wakeboarding, kayaking, SUPing and seeking out adventures, though I truthfully I’m a bit of a chicken when it comes to mountain biking (I stick to grade 3!).

Happy international women’s day. To the super-stars of multi-tasking, the heroes in male dominated industries, the inventors, the problem-solvers, the go-getters, the athletes, the artists, the carers, the adventurers and travellers raising families on the other side of the world from home. Let’s take today to celebrate what it is to be a woman and what we have achieved. Let’s build each other up and fill the comments sections with encouragement based on merit - not trolling based on looks. That’s the dream I have for the future for my daughter.

Every now and then I look back through past projects and think, yep… that’s why I love what I do.

Some of my favourite logo designs from Case In Point Design Studio are the ones that still look just as strong years later as the day they were launched. No trendy fonts that scream “designed in 2022". ( except when the logo was for an event that year ha ha). No fads that date faster than a pair of low rise jeans. Just solid, well thought out branding that does its job quietly and confidently.

A timeless logo is worth the investment because it saves you from the constant cycle of rebranding. It builds recognition. It earns trust. It gives your business that steady, established feel, even if you’re only a year in.

Your logo is not just a pretty badge for Instagram. It sits on your website, your signage, your invoices, your packaging, your proposals. It becomes the face of your reputation.

Good design is not about following what everyone else is doing. It is about understanding your values, your audience, and building something that will still represent you properly in five, ten, even fifteen years.

If you are building a business you want to be proud of long term, your logo should be built the same way.

Another site shiny new website release this week for the Ōrākei Community Association and another tree planted 🌱 I absolutely love getting the emails from letting us know where our next donated tree has been planted ! For the women building businesses instead of waiting for bouquets this 🫶🏻

Valentine’s Day can feel loud. Roses, restaurant bookings, cheesy ads.

Meanwhile you’re over here juggling clients, invoices, kids’ sports, laundry, and that half-finished website update.

Here’s the truth.

You are not behind.
You are building.

While some are waiting to be chosen, you’re choosing yourself.
You chose the risk.
You chose the late nights.
You chose the freedom.

That’s not lonely. That’s leadership.

You’ve created something from nothing.
You’ve backed your own ideas when no one else clapped yet.
You’ve had to be brave in ways a dinner date will never understand.

So today, don’t measure your worth by who’s sitting across the table.

Measure it by the fact that you built your own table.

Love shows up in many forms.
It looks like boundaries.
It looks like pricing yourself properly.
It looks like redesigning the brand that no longer fits.
It looks like saying, “I want more ease.”

And here’s the old-school truth, you don’t need a partner to validate your value.

If you’re single, separated, rebuilding, or simply focused, you’re not missing out.

You’re in the middle of becoming.

And that’s a far better love story. 💛

FRAUD ‼️ I know not everyone is seeing the posts I have been sharing about the scammers impersonating me, so I’m posting here again in the hopes of reaching more clients.

I’m not sure who exactly this has been sent to of my clients, 2x have notified my they have recieved this today and a few this year.

This is the 3rd time they have impersonated me.
The email they are using this time is
[email protected]

I get these email addresses pulled down and they create another. This also emphasises the importance of business email addresses for authenticity.

Please check all emails from me come from my legitimate business address - (I will also never start an email with “good day” 🙄)
