Ashley & Bryan ❤️
It was pretty special having Ashley & Bryan back in Taupō all the way from America to renew their vows and celebrate their marriage once again.
They chose to have the ceremony with the same celebrant from their original wedding, Belinda – The Wedding Angel, which made the day even more meaningful.
After the ceremony, we only had to walk about five minutes from where they had exchanged their vows to find some beautiful spots for photos. With the lake, dramatic skies and a little bit of creativity, we managed to capture some really different and pretty amazing images.
It’s a good reminder that you don't always have to travel far to create something special — sometimes the best locations are right on your doorstep.
Ashley & Bryan, it was an absolute pleasure to be part of your day. Congratulations once again! ❤️🥂

Melissa & Heath
The plan was a beautiful lakeside ceremony, but Taupō had other ideas!
With the wind picking up, we moved the ceremony inside the Millennium Hotel before heading out to make the most of the day.
We explored the Botanical Gardens, then finished up down by the lake for some bride & groom photos. Even with the weather doing its best to change the plans, we managed to find some beautiful spots and capture plenty of moments along the way.
I love weddings like this — not everything has to go perfectly to create something memorable. Sometimes the unexpected bits make the best stories.

There’s something pretty special about being able to combine work with a little bit of astrophotography. 🌌✨
While working as the photographer for an event for Toyota Australia at the incredible Huka Lodge in Taupō, I managed to capture this shot after finishing the event.
The Milky Way was absolutely spectacular that night, stretching right over Huka Lodge and lighting up the sky above the grounds. It was one of those moments where you just have to stop, grab the camera and make the most of what’s in front of you.
Not a bad office for the night! 📸🌌
Huka Lodge really is one of those places that looks incredible by day, but under a clear Taupō night sky, it becomes something else entirely.
