Next up, Merrin popped into Unichem Medical Corner Pharmacy Rangiora to catch up with Kayla and check out their A&P Show-themed shop display! 🐴🌾

With horse gear, hay and a country feel in the shopfront, the team have brought a fun rural touch to their space while getting behind this year’s Rangiora Shop Display Competition.

Kayla shared that the display came together with help from one of their lovely team members, who just happens to be a farmer, so they had the decorations sorted!

As well as creating a display for the competition, Unichem Medical Corner Pharmacy is here to support the local community with all your pharmacy needs, making them another great business to have involved in this local initiative.

🤠 Create Powered by MoMac | Rangiora Shop Display Competition | Local Business Spotlight #9

This time, we're keeping things a little closer to home! 🐷🐴

Merrin caught up with Vanessa from our very own print studio, Create Powered by MoMac, to show off our country-themed shop display for the Rangiora A&P Show!

Vanessa and the team have had a bit of fun bringing this one to life, taking inspiration from the A&P Show poster artwork created by our designer, Jaz. From colourful cartoon farm animals and branded merchandise to some very cute farmyard friends loaned by family and friends, there's plenty to see in our shopfront! 🐮🎨

And while you're checking out the display, you might discover what Create is all about! Powered by MoMac, our print studio offers a full range of printing services, backed by our in-house design team.

It's been awesome seeing so many Rangiora businesses getting creative and supporting this year's competition, and we couldn't miss out on the fun ourselves!

There's a bit of country fun happening at Backcountry in the Gables Arcade! 🎸🐑

Merrin popped into Backcountry to check out their awesome A&P Show-inspired shop display, featuring a little dolly jamming away on her guitar while sitting on a hay bale!

And what's a country show without a bit of candy floss? 🍭

Beyond their creative display, Backcountry is full of quirky gift ideas, from country-themed artwork and posters to unique t-shirts and plenty of other interesting finds.

It's great to see another Rangiora business getting behind the Rangiora Shop Display Competition and bringing a bit of country character into the town centre!

🤠 Rangiora Shop Display Competition | Local Business Spotlight #7

We've got a missing farm dog in Rangiora, and we need your help! 🐶🐑😂

Merrin popped into Gather + You to catch up with Natalia, who shared the story behind their very creative country-themed shop display.

Meet Buddy, a little brown and white spotted farm dog with big floppy ears who's gone missing! The farm animals in their window display are all out searching for him, and they're hoping someone might spot Buddy at the Rangiora A&P Show! 👀

Aside from their creative display, Gather + You is a fantastic local store showcasing products from more than 100 makers, with a strong focus on New Zealand-made goods. They've been part of the Rangiora retail community for around five years now!

We love seeing businesses having a bit of fun with this competition and bringing their own personality to the shopfronts around town.

🤠 Rangiora Shop Display Competition | Local Business Spotlight #6

18 years in business and still getting behind the Rangiora community! 💐🐴

Merrin caught up with Fi from Fi's Flowers N Art, a familiar face in Rangiora's retail scene, with 18 years in business and the last eight spent right in the heart of our main street.

When Fi heard about the Rangiora Shop Display Competition, she knew the team had to get involved!

With help from her staff and Mary Gerrard, who brought plenty of knowledge about the Rangiora A&P Show, they created a shopfront display celebrating the many different things you can enter and experience at the show.

It's awesome to see established local retailers getting behind initiatives like this, supporting the town and encouraging others to take part.

There's a bit of family history behind this next shop display! 🐑✂️

Merrin stopped by Hair Handlers New Zealand to catch up with Maxine, who has been hairdressing for an incredible 50 years, including 30 years with Hair Handlers!

This family-owned salon has gone back to its rural roots for the Rangiora Shop Display Competition, creating a display inspired by the owner's family and their connection to farming and shearing.

What makes this one particularly special is that many of the items are genuine pieces of family history, including old shears, shoes and clothing worn by Rachel's dad.

It's not just a country-themed display, it's a little piece of local family history right in the shopfront!

Next up, Merrin caught up with Tiffany from Resene ColorShop Rangiora to check out their country-themed shop display! 🎨🐴

Known for helping locals with everything from paint and wallpaper to colour advice and design inspiration, the Resene team have brought a bit of rural charm into their store for this year's competition.

And here's something pretty cool! Their display features a real farm gate, kindly supplied by one of their local painting families. It's actually still in use on the farm and was temporarily removed just for the competition! 😂

The same family also helped decorate the display with ribbons and plenty of creative ideas. A great example of local businesses and customers coming together to support a community event.

Our next stop is Clay and Cotton - Pottery and Art Classes, where Merrin caught up with Julie to check out her very creative country-themed shop display! 🎨🐓

Clay and Cotton is a creative hub right here in Rangiora, offering workshops and classes in pottery, sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery and watercolour painting.

What makes Julie's display particularly special is that she's made everything herself! From roosters and hens to frogs, a pig doorstop and even a glove dog, it's a collection of handmade creations she's put together over the years. 🐷🐸

It's a great connection to the Rangiora A&P Show and its long-standing tradition of celebrating local arts, crafts and creativity.

Merrin popped in for a chat with Charlotte, who shared that the business is celebrating nearly 10 years in Rangiora this week! 🎉

Not only are they our local bookshop, offering a great range of books and gifts, but they're also home to the PostShop and Kiwibank.

With the Rangiora A&P Show just around the corner, Charlotte got her creative team involved in putting together their country-themed window display. And by the sounds of it, the staff had plenty of ideas and a shopping list ready for Charlotte! 😂

It's awesome to see another local business getting behind the competition and bringing a bit of country spirit to Rangiora!
