Just about finished version 3 of our long term timelapse/monitoring cameras using Pi Zero, Pi Camera Module 3, PiJuice and solar power, and Waveshare SIM7600 cellular modem. I’ll have to do a post about them soon.

Trying out 3 different IP67 enclosures, but housing rig is the same for all 3.

Version 2 on the left in 3D printed enclosure, but we’ve made some improvements for weather tightness, and resolved some power issues with wireless 4G stick and LiFePO4 battery.

Love the Pi platform to build stuff on!

Great to see some recent national media coverage for Flexi. using our new time-lapse service.

Flexi helped us do one of our final field trials of our new time-lapse cameras.

This final trial helped iron out a few kinks and identified a few enhancements to be made.

Our time-lapse cameras are optimised for long-term captures lasting months or years. Flexi’s 13-hours-to-weathertight build process is slightly faster than this!

This was another fun project to work on with the awesome team at Kenepuru Homes, tracking the construction and completion of this beautiful new development in Titahi Bay.

It's always interesting to compose footage and picture how the site is going to look in the future, from green field to finished construction!

This has been a fun project to work on with Porirua Development over the last 16 months, capturing the enormous progress that has taken place at Castor Crescent in Porirua, transforming it from a field into 53 new homes.

By flying a predefined path multiple times, and then applying some fairly detailed post-processing, we are able to merge the video captures and photos from different dates, to help illustrate the changes to a site over several months or years.

This project involved 8 site visits capturing video and 30+ hours editing and post-processing, and further refining and optimising the method.
