Life-saving rescue🐄 A cow almost entirely engulfed and trapped in silt was lucky to be spotted by a team of HMNZS Te Mana personnel travelling near the Tutekuri River in Napier.

The team waded out to start digging, attracting the attention of locals who joined in. After an exhausting effort with strops, shovels and sticks, the cow was eventually freed and returned to a grateful farmer.
