The Original and Mark's Interpretation

One of Mark's art piece for the 20th Anniversary Kaiapoi Art Expo this artwork celebrates the history of one of Kaiapoi's most iconic buildings.

A few years ago, Mark had the privilege of being involved in the BNZ restoration project, completing the 24-carat gold gilded lettering, hand-painting the lintel, and crafting the distinctive £-shaped door handles.

For this piece, Mark Larsen Art has recreated those details on an original roof slate tile, framed in recycled Matai sourced from the building's original floorboards.

Head along to the Kaiapoi Art Expo on 18th July, 10am - 5pm and 19th July, 10am - 4pm at the Kaiapoi Club and check out an amazing array of art works.

Designed to create a welcoming first impression for residents and visitors alike, the sign is built to withstand the elements while complementing the character of the community.

New signage above the door 😍

a bit more noticeable for those driving past and hopefully this helps clear up some confusion that some people have, yes, we are in fact a completely separate business from the cafe next door.

A massive thanks to everyone that helped make the extra signage happen.

And to all those that come in for a treat or lunch or a loaf of bread, thanks for giving this busy/tired baker a reason to keep getting up in the little hours of the morning.
