Come for the spectacular views, stay for the battle against everyone’s favourite office villain: the humble printer. 🖨️💥

I spent today enjoying spectacular views while simultaneously wrestling with the ultimate workplace antagonist: the printer.

It was throwing a tantrum over an "unknown jam." Brand new parts didn't fix it. It forced me deep into the belly of the beast to perform exploratory surgery to find it's malignant foreign object.

The criminal? A microscopic, asphalt-covered piece of glass. I tried to get a mugshot for the internet, but it literally threw itself into the carpet to avoid being publicly shamed.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be vacuuming for evidence.

There is nothing more satisfying than resolving a long-standing technical issue for a client.

Earlier this month, I went on-site in Frankton to look at a printer that had been causing persistent issues for over six months. Despite another service provider holding the machine in their workshop for over a month without a resolution, the right diagnostic approach and having the correct parts on hand allowed us to fix the problem during our very first visit.
