Quiz time. Why do we say "Roger" on the radio?

A) It was a famous pilot's name
B) It meant R, for "received"
C) It's short for "right-o"

Answer: B. In the old radio phonetic alphabet, R was "Roger", so it became shorthand for "message received". And "Wilco" means "will comply". Got another radio word you've always wondered about?
