Remember when we were all told that “8 characters and a symbol” was peak security?

Yeah… not anymore 🤦

Short passwords can now be cracked faster than most people realise. The real trick today is length. We're talking passphrases, not “P@ssw0rd!”.

If you wanna try it out, BitWarden's free passphrase generator is a good place to start:

Storage Emails: What’s real, and what’s not? 🚨

We’re seeing more fake “cloud storage full” emails doing the rounds, and a few of our customers have already reported them. These messages are designed to rush you into clicking links or entering payment details, even though nothing is actually wrong with your account.

Most cloud storage providers won’t threaten suspension out of the blue. If you’re unsure, don’t click the email. Check your storage directly in apps like OneDrive or Google Drive, or contact your provider using known contact details.

When in doubt, pause, check, and ask. Urgency is a scammer’s favourite tool.
