Yours truly pictured here with my offering "FEED". About the piece:
FEED refers to both social media streams and to the act of offering ourselves outward, reaching for connection through a curated self that is never fully whole, never quite there: while consuming and perpetuating what we encounter. FEED balances layered transparent sheets of text, gestural brushstrokes, and monochrome planes of black, gold, and white acrylic. A sense of transparency evokes absence and erasure; gold leaf reflects the curated self; black and white anchors the unseen, internal counterpart of that display.
Influenced by American artists, Tony Bechara’s balance between control and spontaneity and Mark Tobey’s exploration of interconnectedness, FEED merges systematic thinking with intuitive mark-making. The works create a contemplative space that invites viewers to pause and look inward, reflecting on how their own sense of worth and visibility is mediated through both psychological and digital frameworks.
