We are proud to announce that KiwiData (Big Noise Group Ltd) has been chosen as the designated registrar responsible for carrying out the initial registration of .iwi.nz domain names, subject to approval by the official .iwi.nz Moderator.

As a Māori-owned domain and hosting provider, this is a huge honour for us and an important step in supporting iwi and hapū across Aotearoa in building their digital presence.

The .iwi.nz domain is a moderated domain designed specifically for traditional Māori iwi, hapū, and authorised iwi organisations, ensuring these domains remain connected to the communities they represent.

All .iwi.nz domain registrations must first be approved by the Moderator before KiwiData can complete the registration.

Once approved, KiwiData manages the domain registration within the .nz registry system.

We are having intermittent Internet issues

Apologies for the inconvenience caused by this incident.

Our network provider team has made the decision to rollback there network migration completed overnight.

This will cause an interruption to services while network elements are rolled back to their previous states.
Again, we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

A full debrief of today’s events will be conducted to determine the root cause of these issues before completing this migration again.
Updates to follow as this rollback is completed.
