Meet the new Philips Ambilight Smart TV with LED lights above, on the left and right sides, to project the light shown from the screen to the wall behind. Ambilight Mode, as shown in this video, is great for gaming as the lamps change quickly and sharply and react strongly to details like lighting or other sudden movements onscreen.

Even without an Ambilight TV, this incredibly theatrical experience can be created simply by purchasing the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box instead.

Philips Hue lights are also synchronized wirelessly to the TV’s Ambilight function, which connect to your local area network and also to the Philips Hue Hub, known as Zigbee.

Seven lamps are seen in this demonstration, nine in total, with:
- One Hue Bulb on the pedestal left-side,
- One Hue Lightstrip,
- Two Hue Play lamps under the TV,
- One Hue Iris on the upper square shelf,
- One Hue Bloom on the lower square shelf,
- One Hue Go atop the dresser, and
- Two lamps, not visible, are connected to the TV.
