One question that tells you if your website is actually working:

Ask your agency for three numbers from the last 90 days. Total visitors, total enquiries, and where your traffic came from.

If they can't tell you? That's a problem.

If they can, here's what the numbers mean:

Below 2% conversion rate? Your site looks good but it's not built to convert. That's a website problem.
Under 500 visits a month? You have a traffic problem. No amount of redesign fixes that.
Leads coming in but you're not winning the work? Follow-up problem.

Each problem has a different fix. And just throwing money at the wrong one makes things worse.

A good agency sends you a report every month that breaks this down in plain language. If yours doesn't, it might be time for a conversation.

By then, they've called two other businesses and booked one of them.

Response time is the part most tradies ignore. And it's where the most money gets left on the table.

Set up three things:

1. Instant auto-reply. When someone fills out your contact form, they get a text within 60 seconds confirming you received their enquiry.

2. Notification to your phone. Every form submission triggers a push notification. Not just an email sitting in your inbox.

3. 48-hour follow-up sequence. If you don't reach them on the first try, an automated text goes out at 24 hours and again at 48.

Most competitors won't follow up at all. That's how you beat them.

A third and final official welcome to Madi... who is now officially full-time as part of the SEO team! 😁

Madi joined us as an intern in the latter half of last year, then worked part-time earlier this year while finishing her Master's degree at the University of Waikato.

We're stoked to have her on board full-time now, and can't wait to see what's to come! 😊
