False. Fibre runs on light signals through glass cables, completely unaffected by weather. If your connection drops every time it pours, that's usually a sign of a dodgy join somewhere outside, not the fibre itself. A quick call to our Hamilton team and we'll have it sorted.

False, mostly. "Central" only works if your node still has a strong, clear path back to the main router. Tuck it behind a couple of walls and it can only pass on a weak signal, so you get patchy speeds in that part of the house.

The sweet spot: place it about halfway between your main router and the area you want to fix, somewhere it can still "see" the router with as few walls in the way as possible.
