🎤 WE’RE HIRING – AV RENTAL & INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

Waikato Sound & Lighting / AV Store is looking for an experienced and reliable AV Technician to join our Hamilton team.

The role mainly involves:

• Preparing and testing rental equipment
• Setting up and operating sound, lighting and video equipment for events
• Packing down and returning rental equipment
• Installing commercial AV installations
• Running cables, installing equipment and troubleshooting systems

Experience in AV rentals, live production or commercial AV installations would be a strong advantage.

You’ll need to be practical, professional with customers, confident using tools and able to safely handle AV equipment. A full New Zealand driver licence and flexibility for some evening and weekend work are required.

📍Based in Hamilton Require to travel around NZ
🕒 Full-time
💰 Pay based on skills and experience

Waikato Sound & Lighting / AVStore are looking for an AV Technician to join our Hamilton based team.

We work across a wide range of projects including:

🎤 Conferences & corporate events
🎧 Live events & production
🔊 Audio visual installations
🏫 School and commercial AV systems

This role includes a mix of:

• Conference and event AV setup
• Audio visual system installations
• Sound and lighting systems
• Equipment preparation and workshop work
• Assisting with AV equipment in the AVStore showroom when required

We are looking for someone who already has some experience or training in audio visual, live production or technical installations and wants to further develop their skills working with professional AV systems.

You’ll be working with equipment and systems including Q-SYS, Sennheiser, Shure, RCF, Dante and Blackmagic.

This role suits someone with a genuine interest in audio, lighting, video or technical systems.
