UPDATE 4.00pm 10/02- Chorus have restored all services.

Chorus currently have a fibre outage in Te Karaka. Their technicians are on site working to repair the fault. At this stage there is no ETA from them.

There will be a short outage affecting all customers at around 5:00am Friday 16/01/2026. This is for a power upgrade at the Gisborne Exchange. The outage is not expected to last more than ten minutes.

A technician will be arriving on site shortly to resolve this.

UPDATE: Resolved 12.05pm.
We currently have a network outage. Unfortunately, this is also affecting our phone system, so we do apologise that you can't contact us.

The problem is in Auckland. We have technicians on site working to resolve the fault.

UPDATE 5:00pm: Service has been restored. Our guys managed to get up there in a helicopter this afternoon. We appreciate your patience.

12:10pm 25/09/2025.

There is currently a power issue at our Hikurangi Repeater and the site will lose power completely, this afternoon.

An attempt to attend this fault earlier this morning via helicopter failed due to poor weather conditions. A technician was then dispatched to the site. However, this was unsuccessful due to fallen trees blocking the track and no safe alternative route available.
We are now waiting for the weather to clear to get a helicopter there this afternoon.

**Areas that will be affected include: Whareponga, Hiruharama, and some of Ruatoria, Te Puia and Waipiro Bay.

We apologise for this inconvenience, but please know we are actively working to resolve this as soon as weather permits.

We are currently experiencing an unplanned outage regarding wireless connections in the Wairoa district. We have dispatched a technician to identify the fault onsite and make any repairs that are necessary. Completed time is yet to be determined, though we are hopeful that our wireless network will be up and running before nightfall. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to get everyone back online!

Kia Ora Whanau,

There is currently a known issue with a large part of Gisborne's Fibre Network. Those in the red highlighted areas below will be experiencing intermittent service with all Internet Service Providers if they run through Fibre. Chorus are working on it furiously but no ETA has been given yet. We will update as things progress.

We have some planned maintenance that will take place between 5-5:30AM Saturday 30/11/24.
This will affect all customers as we are upgrading and replacing routers at the exchange.
