3 shops had already tried to fix this PS5 after a power surge, but the no-power fault remained.

After diagnosing the power supply as good, we traced the issue back to the motherboard and found a tiny shorted capacitor causing the entire problem.

Fault found, capacitor removed, PS5 back up and running. 🎮🔧

We take on board-level repairs and faults that other repair shops may not be equipped to handle.

📦 Not in Gisborne? No worries — we accept mail-in repairs from anywhere in New Zealand.

If you’ve got a phone, console, laptop or other device that needs repairing, send us a message and we’ll see what we can do.

💧 Liquid damage doesn't always mean your phone is beyond saving.

This iPhone 14 Pro Max came in with liquid damage affecting multiple internal components, including the motherboard. After a full internal clean, careful inspection, and reassembly, we were greeted with the Apple logo.

The best part? The customer's data was successfully recovered. 🙌

If your device has been exposed to liquid, **don't keep trying to turn it on or charge it.** The sooner it's assessed, the better the chance of saving both the device and your data.

Another repair shop diagnosed this PS5 as “unfixable” and charged the customer $250—despite advertising a no-fix, no-fee policy. 😳

The customer brought it to Gizzy Tech for a second opinion. We found the fault, completed the repair, and brought it back to life. 🎮⚡
