We're conducting a trial of a nine-day fortnight for all staff — we’ll be unplugged and out of the office every second Monday for the next few months, while we analyse the impact of the experiment.
Work always expands to fill the time you give it. But ultimately work is about the quality of your output, not about how long it takes. Recent trials in countries like Iceland and the UK, as well as the high-profile cases of Unilever and Perpetual Guardian, suggest that helping improve work-life balance means happier, more engaged employees.
We already have such a motivated, aware, and success-oriented team — working from offices and from home, spread across three continents and four timezones — that we’re confident of good results for our people.
For our employees, we hope to see results like less stress, and more time for families, childcare, and the benefits of any health and wellness pursuits our team members choose.
