🐾 Keeping the pack moving

This one's about the little hiccups that could slow a round down — and clearing them out.

🚐 No more stuck rounds
If a van finished its pickups and the app got stuck waiting to start roll call, that's fixed. Drivers can get straight on to drop-offs.

🏡 Homestay check-ins, properly in sync
Checking a boarding dog in now takes them off the pickup list right away, and lets their owner know their stay has begun — every time, not just sometimes.

🗺️ Planner made clearer
A few confusing messages when a dog gets moved between vans, or taken off a run, have been tidied up so the screen says what's actually happening.

✍️ More hands on report cards
Businesses can now give trusted handlers access to write report cards for dogs, not just admins.

🐕 Boarders get their walk too

A few nice ones landed, biggest first.

🐕 Homestay dogs join the pack
A dog staying with you for boarding no longer has to sit out the walk — you can now add them onto a van for any day of their stay, straight from the homestay card.

🔑 Easier for your clients to sign in
We've built simple one-time invite links (and a QR option) so it's much easier to get your clients set up on the owner portal.

📍 Address drop-down for owners
Requesting a temporary address used to mean typing the whole thing into a blank box — owners now get the same address search everyone else does.

🚶 A clear "pickups done" moment
After the last dog is picked up, the walk screen now says so clearly, with the choice to do a quick headcount or carry on home.

📝 Easier to spot the report card button
The little icon on the drop-off screen now says exactly what it does.

🔙 There's an undo for that now

A couple of good ones landed this time, and one of them fixes a moment nobody wants: ticking a dog out of homestay too soon.

🐾 Undo a check-out
If a homestay check-out happens by mistake, you can now undo it — no more starting the paperwork over from scratch.

📋 Report cards for everyone
Report cards are now available to every business on BarkBus, not just a trial group. Sending one is quicker too, and the app now tells you exactly what stage it's at instead of a single "Sending…".

🔍 Easier to find your way to a card
A shortcut sits in the menu, cards are grouped by day, and there's a search box if you just want a specific dog.

💳 Tidier money handling
Adding a credit or a charge to an owner's balance is now a clean little form with a preview of the new total — no more chained pop-up boxes.

📱 Fits your phone properly
Owner account pages no longer spill off the side of the screen.

I get it, change is hard, this was me too. I mean, why fix something that ain’t broke? Or why reinvent the wheel?

The answer it turns out is because when you’re replacing a wheel with a jet pack you just get to places WAY FASTER 🚀 idk if that’s the right symbolism buuuuut just know that BarkBus is worth the investment up front and SO worth the change 🙌😌

"Can my customers actually see what's happening with their dog?"

🚐 New in BarkBus

A handful of fixes this time, most of them things you told us about — thank you.

🔁 Moved dogs stay put
Switch a dog to a different van and it now shows correctly everywhere, straight away, on the office screen and in the van.

🏠 Unfinished runs get flagged
If a run ends without every dog accounted for, the office now gets told the same day — instead of a homestay drop-off quietly sitting unticked.

📋 Task order holds
Add a pickup task before a run has even started and it keeps the spot you gave it, instead of sliding to the bottom of the list.

✅ Temporary addresses, one tap
Approving a temporary address no longer asks for a price — it's just approve, done.

🚐 New in BarkBus

A few things worth knowing about, mostly fixes that came straight from you telling us something looked off.

📋 Guest days now reach the run
An approved extra day from the owner portal used to show up in the planner but not on the driver's actual run for the day. That's fixed — approved days now make it all the way through.

🏠 Overdue homestays are labelled properly
A stay running past its booked end date now shows clearly as overdue on the board, instead of looking exactly like a normal pickup.

📇 Sturdier client imports
Pasting in a new client roster is more resilient now — a single long phone number used to be able to sink the whole import. Not anymore.

🛣️ Odometer tracking, step one
We've started building an odometer log for vans, useful for anyone who needs mileage records on hand. More to come here.

A mix of fixes and some real progress on roll call and daycare — here's what's changed.

💰 Homestay pricing is back
Quoting and approving a homestay booking now shows the price it should have, in both places you'd look for it.

🗺️ Maps and run lists now agree
A run's map will only ever show stops that are actually on that run — no more mystery pins.

📋 Roll call, live
You can now watch headcounts arrive on a van while the run is still out, see whether one's stuck waiting for signal, and look back at a full history of the day's headcounts afterwards.

🔄 Reverse the day's run order
A simple button now flips today's stop order without touching anyone's saved list — handy for the days that don't run the usual way.

🏠 A first look at daycare presence
A couple of businesses are trialling a live "who's on the premises" view — more on this soon.

💳 Payment links that actually work
If a payment link from an email ever sent your phone somewhere it shouldn't, that's fixed — it now opens properly and stays valid for a lot longer.

🐕 Homestay pickups on pack days
A dog starting a homestay on their usual pack day now gets flagged for morning pickup automatically, instead of someone having to remember to add them.

🚐 Split pickup and drop-off stays
Day stays picked up by one driver and dropped off by another now show correctly for both of them — no more dogs quietly missing off an afternoon run.

🧭 Homestay round changes now stick
Changing a homestay's pickup or drop-off round after the run was already built now actually reaches the driver, not just the office view.
