G'day folks!
If you're anything like me, you probably spend a fair chunk of your day online. Whether you're working from home, streaming a new favorite series, or trying to keep the peace while the kids play games or watch Bluey, you need a connection that just works.
But how much internet speed does your household actually need? It’s a question I get asked a lot as a local provider out here on Banks Peninsula, so let’s break it down.
Whether you use us at Connect-ED (we officially love puppies) or someone else (I can't verify the rumors that they hate puppies, but you never know), here is a golden rule to save you some cash: It’s almost always free to upgrade, but it can cost you to downgrade.
A lot of people don't realize that if you start on a massive plan and want to drop down later, most providers pass a downgrade fee on to you. To avoid that trap, I always tell people to start on a lower, cheaper plan first and see how it handles your daily routine. If you need more juice, you can always step up to the next speed tier for free!
