At Global we love to challenge our team. So when challenged to improve the efficiency of managing shipping containers our team set to work with some out-of-the-box thinking.
Using AI/computer vision we prototyped a solution to automate real-time data capture of container numbers and physical positions from the front view of a container handling vehicle.
Watch this space as this project develops and provides a whole new level of container yard visibility and efficiency.

It’s “code-camp” day again here at Global! It’s when we assemble to have a stack of fun learning new tech. But there’s always a serious side, and this time it’s pesky Zoraflexians attacking planet Earth!! Damn them and their wormhole attacks! Can our team use new technology to close the wormhole and repel the onslaught? Can they save the world from certain doom?? Stay tuned…

Our Friday workshops here at Global are pretty famous and are a big part of our week. Topics can vary a great deal, with anything from diving deep into AI through to curing meat. Today Lydia pushed the bar just that little bit higher when the team took on the art of crochet! Lydia, you’re a bloody legend!

What a great day Clearwater has turned on for us at the Braintree Wellness Centre golfing with the Stars tournament. Our team are all set and looking forward to measuring the players swing consistency!

Next week our crew are excited to be involved with the Braintree Wellness Centre charity golf tournament. Our team decided to build something that demonstrates some of our capabilities and also combine it with a bit of fun.
Take a dash of Artificial Intelligence along with a tiny bit of 3D printing, combine it with a healthy measure of electrical engineering and IoT, mix well with some software development and you’re almost there.
Today was training day. And by training we don’t mean trying to improve our golf games. We’re training an AI tool to listen for the sound of the club striking the ball and hitting a target in any environment, no matter what the background noise. Oh and it’ll measure the ball speed with a great deal of accuracy! Stay tuned for an exciting week ahead as the project comes to life!
