We had the pleasure of collaborating with Redcliffs School to create a suite of icons that bring their core values to life. Designed to be simple, memorable, and easy for students to sketch and recognise, each icon provides a visual representation of the values that can be used throughout the school.
The school's signature red was carried through as the primary colour, creating a strong connection to the existing brand identity. Koru elements inspired by the school's kōwhaiwhai pattern were then woven into the linework, grounding each icon in a meaningful cultural reference that feels authentic to the kura.
Subtle topographical contour lines were introduced as a background texture, drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape and adding depth without distracting from the icons themselves.
The result is a distinctive set of values icons that reflects Redcliffs School's identity, culture, and aspirations, creating a visual language that students can easily recognise, connect with, and carry with them throughout their learning journey.
