Happy Pride Month Ōtautahi!

A few reasons why I celebrate being q***r:

Visibility - you are safe, loved & welcomed.
Fighting homophobia, normalising this conversation.
To be seen, to be heard, to be celebrated.
For those who are closeted, who are unsafe, unseen and unknown.
I know what it’s like to be pushed down, to be told I am disgusting, that I am possessed, and evil. To be told to be quiet, to be different to who I am, to be hidden.

I send love to all those who identify within the rainbow community, whether you are out or not.
