A few weeks back, Nikola packed her bag and flew up to QLD for a couple of days of meeting transport operators face to face ☀️ Nikola even picked up a few tips on gear changing with a Road Ranger gearbox along the way ⚙️🚛

No big agenda, just good conversations. Some of the people she met were curious about MyTrucking and wanted to see how it might work for them. One was a customer we love catching up with. Every business was different, but a few things kept coming up:

🔸 Plenty of operators are still running on diaries, spreadsheets and text messages (and we saw a fair bit of white-out!)
🔸 Late nights spent on invoicing came up more than once. It's more common than it should be
🔸 Change can feel like a big step, especially for the people who've done things a certain way for years
🔸 Time is the hardest thing to find, even when you know something needs to change
🔸 Good software should make your day easier, not harder

🔸 Change can feel like a big step, especially when you've done things a certain way for years
🔸 Finding the time to get started is the hardest part
🔸 Good software should make your day easier, not harder

The highlight was catching up with the Goodall Transport team and hearing how things are going day to day.

While on the topic of feature releases, let's throw it back to 2025 ⏪

2025 kicked off with Multi-Leg, so one job could cover the pickup, a stop at the yard or depot, and the final drop off. From there, the year was all about making life easier for the people running the jobs, and the people driving them.

In the office, you got Client Change History to see who changed what and when, Cost Rate to keep track of what subbies cost, and the option to archive users instead of deleting them (because people do come back).

Then came the one drivers asked for most: seeing their own Uploaded Jobs in the mobile app. It landed in September 2025, and we were very happy to deliver it 🙌

By October 2025 you could assign drivers to jobs straight from the app, and we threw in a Day Planner along the way.

We're not done yet. 🚛

Earlier this week I sat in on our development team's sprint review. It's where the developers show the rest of us in the company what they've been working on.

I left wowed, again! 🤩 We've shared a lot of new features this year, and I honestly thought we might be due a breather. Turns out the team had other plans.

Without giving too much away, there's work happening with subcontracting, invoicing, the mobile app and reporting. Whether you're out on the road, running the office or keeping an eye on the numbers, there's something in there for everyone!
