Today’s productivity hack: delete nothing, make content instead. 😂

I’m deep in the thousands of photos on my phone, backing everything up, sorting it into folders and trying to be a person who actually prints photos. 😂

So… THIS is what I can do in an Hour of Power. ⚡️

This custom family portrait started with a problem: there wasn’t actually a photo of all three of them together.

Different ages, different stages, different circumstances… no single photo to work from.

So I created one. ✨

It’s a custom vector line drawing that brings them all together, and it’s now another portrait in a client’s collection of yearly family artwork.

And yep. One hour.

This is just ONE example of what I’ve been using my Hours of Power for lately.

I’m about to turn 40. I’m excited. I remember thinking my dad was so old when he turned 40. 😂 Now I’m here, feeling really proud of what I’ve built.

I created a whole human. 🥹
Wrote and illustrated a children’s book that made it onto actual bookshelves.
Built businesses and been self-employed for over a decade.
Made lifelong connections with incredible women in business here in Aotearoa. You know who you are. ❤️

And now, in my birthday month, I’m a World of WearableArt (WOW) finalist. Still wild to say.

There have been plenty of twists, turns, closed doors and new beginnings, but I wouldn’t change any of it. It all brought me here. I don’t feel like I’m looking back at my best years. I’m looking forward to them.

Books in the pipeline. New clients. New creations. New ideas I haven’t even had yet. Maybe another business or three. 😂

So, 40… I’m ready for you.

I made this template from the heart, based on things I’ve genuinely learned through running my own creative businesses. The lessons I wish someone had told me when I was starting out.

And because I know not everyone wants to start a social post from a blank page, I’ve also made the template available on Canva for you to make your own.

Change the fonts. Change the colours. Swap the image. Rewrite the words so they fit YOUR experience and your business. Comment ✨ below and I’ll send you the Canva link for you to use for yourself.
