We're always told you have to be motivated to be successful. However, in reality, it's discipline that leads to success.

A Motivated individual gets an initial burst of energy to produce work, but before long this motivation diminishes, and work output follows suit.

An individual with discipline will continue to produce work even when they 'don't feel like it', as their effort is not controlled by emotions, but by habit.

In business, it's inevitable that you'll tackle work that is repetitive or boring. A person who only relies on motivation will struggle to complete it and stop growing. However, an individual with self-discipline formed through consistency will have the patience and commitment to complete it and take their business to the next level.
