Southeast Asia / China Sea Freight Update

In consultation with our shipping partners, we have learned today that a number of shipping lines have made the decision not to accept any further sea freight bookings for the remainder of June. This will result in a reduction of available space throughout the market. Bookings and space availability will resume from July.

The shipping lines servicing NZ have been restricted due to a large build-up of rolled bookings at most ports across Asia. This blocked freight volume, combined with disrupted vessel schedules through port omissions and delays, is causing a significant backlog in containers moving through the system, and has seen cancellations of bookings becoming a reality with some providers across most Asian ports.

It is hoped this initiative will act as a reset, and provide relief for both space and tran-shipping cargo in the medium term, and return container supply in the region back to acceptable levels.

We foresee that the flow-on effects may impact August and September booked shipments.

PDLC film is a remarkable technology film that can be switched clear or opaque by applying an AC current. In clear it is transparent when the power is applied and when off it is opaque non see through. It is used to control sunlight, create privacy or used as a projection screen. Its used on aeroplane windows instead of the pull down shutters on your seat window, luxury cars, bathrooms, offices etc

Glassonice PDLC laminates can be micro precision cut to to round, star, square shapes etc. It is available from 1.20m wide on the roll up to 30m long. For the DIY we can offer per metre costs, cut to size, cut to shape. In addition it is available in adhesive and non adhesive finishes. We can ship with or without the buss bar attached. We can supply complete laminated PDLC Glassonice glass ready to be indirectly place into a window frame and installed within the wall.

Colours available are White, Blue / Grey, Dark Grey. Technically the glass is known as a Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal Film or PDLC film for short.

It is perfect for creating privacy in meeting rooms, bathrooms, high tech toilets, space age environments, rear projection screen, office walls. By switching off PDLC to the white status and creating a white glass wall makes a high tech write on white board using a whiteboard marker. Note that the write on surface should be the glass side and not the laminate side if added to existing glass. Further by using our Capacitance Polymer or IR Touch frames we can create the glass window to be fully compatible for finger interactive touch and for use with Windows XP / 7 Linux and Apple computer programmes.

PROMOTION DISCOUNT for the ICE Rear Window LED screen display.

Rear in-vehicle Car Window Led screen is a complete easily installed solution that can be fitted to the inside surface of a rear car window. From inside the vehicle, the screen is 50% transparent and can be viewed through the actual screen to the exterior. The exterior view is as seen on the video delivering an advertising and branding content to vehicles and viewers behind the car. Control is via a smart phone app for Android or Apple iOS.

The transparent LED screen allows rear window of a vehicle to be used as an advertising screen without blocking the view out.

From the driver's interior position the transparency looking thru the screen is 50%. This is achieved by the vertical LED spacing which is 5.2mm and also the brightness is only seen from the exterior. This allows the driver to still see traffic behind their vehicle. The screen is not operating.

The screen is easily installed from the inside of the vehicle's rear window using 3m industrial grade dual side adhesive tape. The DC>DC power unit should be installed close by. Power is drawn from the 12v cigarette output. When the vehicle is switched off the screen would cease to operate.

Controlling the screen is from the Novastar Asynchronous Controller that utilizes the Smart Phone software for both Android and iOS preferences.
