We've strived to prove the impossible, possible. NZ just shows the world the these systems can be made in any industrialized nation on globe. Changing a resource model has profound climactic impacts. We're not asking you to believe us. Ask any Ai two things. A critical review you might say.

1. What is the LCA of a 100sqm home made out of timber and one made from low carbon aluminum?

2. What would happen if we stopped cutting trees for 10 years?

Question 1 doesn't take into account you're not cutting trees or material optimization. We're pushing a 40% reduction in carbon!

We’re currently preparing our "Granny Flat" submission to MBIE for MultiProof approvals of the Anyplace Ecosystem. Explaining the concept of “true modularity” to an agency unable to view 3D models has been challenging, requiring us to revert to 2D PDFs—a time-consuming and costly process.

To illustrate, we’ve created digital renders of a 60-square-meter, four-module assembly that seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor living spaces. This design showcases hybrid construction, combining Anyplace modules with traditional materials like timber trusses in the breezeways and bolt-on barnyard doors for security. The decking is also a modular, bolt-on feature, with plans to develop additional bolt-on accessories based on customer needs. We’ll publicly release fastening methods and hole locations, empowering anyone to create compatible accessories for Anyplace.

We’re also planning a second MultiProof application to demonstrate how modules can be joined, helping MBIE better understand the essence of true modularity.

The Anyplace system is designed for efficiency: these buildings flat-pack, and a four-module assembly can be completed in under two days using screw pile foundations (e.g., StopDigging). With just a 1-meter-wide accessway, parts can be hand-carried to the site—no cranes or heavy equipment required. Modules can even be transported on a car trailer, making setup accessible and cost-effective.

As with all Anyplace designs, the module layout and interiors can be adapted to suit evolving lifestyle needs, embodying our core principle: choice.

Shifting Goals in Construction

Equity. Affordability. Inclusivity. Keywords in construction right now. 5 years ago it waste carbon, waste, circularity, skills, digital twins, etc... the one thing that stays on top of the pile is affordability. Strangely it does seem that we keep setting goals that are never met.

How can you change those key issues without fundamentally changing construction? We looked at that and developed a new method. I don't think there is another model like it. What if you could buy or sell any part of your house? Need more, buy more. Don't need it, sell.

We addressed all these issues by design. But as challenging as this was we could never do it alone. So yes there is a catch. Let AI explain the effect of fixing the problem.

Combining a "buy/sell rooms" housing model with an Anyplace modular construction system like Anyplace holds significant promise for revolutionizing housing affordability and equity.
