Wow, the first truly plastic-free and organically compostable cup and lid by Glopac. Most takeaway cups are only commercially compostable, but these can be composted at home and break down in a matter of weeks.

They can also be recycled, unlike most wax lined coffee cups that have to be put in the bin.. 🀒 This will help stop more than 300 million cups going to landfill each year! πŸ™Œ

The Government's Business Continuity Package has just been released in New Zealand amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and it's safe to say the package is well-targeted and substantial. πŸ’ͺ

Relative to its size, the NZ recovery package is larger than that of Australia, the UK, and Singapore. πŸ’΅

The $5.1b wage subsidy means any business losing serious income because of the pandemic will be able to pay full-time workers $585 a week and part-time workers $385 per week over the next 12 weeks.

In the words of Finance Minister Grant Robertson:

β€œWe will fight this virus. We will cushion the blow for businesses and workers. We will position for recovery. We have been and we will be swift, decisive and compassionate.”

The Government is spraying money everywhere it can to deal with the unprecedented coronavirus shock to keep people in work.
