The Challenge:
Tri Star Gymnastics was operating with an audio system that was difficult to manage, cumbersome to use, and presented potential health and safety concerns within an active training environment. Equipment and cabling created unnecessary clutter, impacting both usability and the safety of athletes using the space.

The Solution:
AAE designed a streamlined audio solution that consolidated system controls into a single keypad and introduced Bluetooth functionality for greater flexibility. The installation also incorporated an audio network with speakers permanently mounted to the wall, removing floor-level equipment and loose cabling. There's a LOT of chalk in a gymnastics gym, so we also had to factor in protecting the control equipment.

The Outcome:
The upgraded system is intuitive and easy to operate, giving users the freedom to connect and play audio with minimal setup. By relocating speakers and managing cabling, the installation eliminated safety risks while creating a cleaner, more functional environment for training.

Client Feedback:
"Everyone at the club is genuinely excited to see the transformation from our outdated mixing console and cables that cluttered the floor to the new audio system. AAE has delivered a system that our members love, and we have already received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the wider community."

Today's the Heart Foundation NZ's 2026 Big ❤️ Appeal and it's a gorgeous sunny day on Auckland's North Shore for our team collecting once again this year.
On average one person in NZ dies every 90 minutes from heart disease. But hearing heartwarming stories from people who stop for a chat really reminds us how our health and humanity connect us and how great is this cause.
We encourage you all to smile and give what you can if you see a collector or Text "HEART" to 8663 to give $3.

We’re delighted to welcome John Flaviano to the AAE team!

Since entering the Pro Audio and AV industry in 2019, John has delivered integrated solutions for corporate environments across the Philippines. With certifications and experience across Q-SYS, Crestron, and Dante platforms, he brings strong technical capability and a solutions-focused approach to system integration.

John’s passion for AV grew from his background in music, playing guitar and keyboard as well as producing music. That experience sparked his interest in Pro Audio and streaming technology and ultimately led him to a career in AV. Outside of work, he enjoys movies, exploring food spots with his wife, and pickleball with friends.

We're excited to have him on board and we can't wait to see the contribution he'll make as we continue delivering reliable, future-ready solutions.

Every bustling shopping centre has a quiet moment before the day begins. Before the crowds walk through the doors, before the music fills the air, and before the first announcements are made, there is a calm – and in NorthWest Shopping Centre in Auckland, that calm is the product of months of planning, collaboration, and precise installation from our team.

Our focus went far beyond the technical work. From the very beginning, we were there working in partnership with suppliers to listen, guide, and shape a system that would serve retailers, visitors, and the facilities team with confidence. Being involved early and working closely with our suppliers to deliver the best solution for the initial build, meant we could help ensure the technology complemented the architecture and continued to evolve as the needs of the space changed, on top of influencing how the space sounds.

This is what matters to us. Creating solutions that perform reliably today and building relationships that last well into the future.

If you are looking for audio-visual solutions designed around your needs and a team you can rely on long after installation, we are here to help.

In the AV industry, what you don’t see matters just as much as what you do see. From health and safety practices to technical competencies, industry certifications signal trust, quality, and accountability.

Here’s what this means for our clients:

Safe worksites
- Every AAE technician holds a current Site Safe passport, with extra endorsements for elevated work platforms and first aid. We’re a proud Site Safe Member and have consistently held a SiteWise Gold Certificate, recognising our focus on high safety standards.

Repeatable quality:
- Our certified professionals follow best practices and proven methods, which means installations perform reliably and hold up over time.

Future-readiness:
- As technologies and regulations evolve, we do too! With our commitment to ongoing training and industry engagement, we actively research emerging trends to shape future-ready solutions.

When it comes to AV, certification isn’t optional. It’s essential. In our next post, we’ll show you how we put that into practice.
