A recurring theme from our recent Lower Hutt ground penetrating radar demos - Asbuilt drawings are always a guide, never a guarantee!

To show what a modern, risk-free workflow looks like, we put two GPR systems to work on the tar seal on Patton Asbuilt’s project:

🔷 IDS Stream DP: High-density, 3D mapping to reveal the true subsurface picture and catch unrecorded services in congested areas.
🔷 Leica DS4000: Fast, targeted tracing to verify unexpected deep anomalies on the fly.

Relying solely on outdated paper plans can be a fast track to a utility strike. GPR technology provides highly accurate real-time data taking the guesswork out of verifying and mapping utilities.

Our team went onsite to put the Leica TS20 Robotics recently released Captivate v11.00 with improved connectivity between the TS20 and controller and improved prism search routines to the test.

On busy construction sites, one of the challenges for Surveyors is how to keep your Total Station locked on to your prism.

Machinery can break the line of sight, high-vis PPE and traffic signs can reflect light and interfere with the prism lock between the Total Station and 360 prism.

With the improvements made to Leica Captivate v11.00 running on the TS20 Total Station and CS20 controller, work becomes easier on a construction site as the prism can be quickly and accurately relocated with one button push.

The Leica RTC700 has landed in NZ!

Our team put it through its paces at the stunning heritage Akaroa Boatshed.

First impressions were extremely positive. The RTC700 delivers maximum capability with advanced surveying workflows, combining the best of the RTC360 (speed, agility and ease of use) with the best of the P-Series (accuracy and precision).

Three models to choose from with the new RTC series. 👇👇👇
