It’s about time I shared my personal home set-up which had much use over the long weekend. Featuring the Eversolo DMP-A6 High-Fidelity music streamer, the Luxman L-507Z Integrated Amplifier, Wharfedale Elysian 2 speakers, and finally the Technics SP10-Mk2 turntable.

My favourite track from this album is the hit-single “Nobody’s Diary”, because it is full of depth and emotion!

The legendary Linn Sondek LP12 is one of my favorite belt-drive turntables ever made. Early models featured basic motor circuitry, which Linn later upgraded with the quartz-controlled Valhalla circuit for perfect speed stability.

However, aging components in these vintage boards can fail spectacularly. This particular turntable suffered a literal capacitor explosion, damaging surrounding parts. Thankfully, it is fully fixable.

Pro tip: get your vintage gear serviced before things start blowing up to avoid an expensive repair bill!

1) Head down the long driveway towards the back house labelled 2/76A on Heathcote Road, Castor Bay, Auckland. 2) Walk towards the first white door with 2 doorbells and press the black doorbell labelled with the TurntableGuy logo. 3) Turn to your left, towards the arrow with the TTguy logo, and walk right down the side of the house. 4) Turn left and walk up 2 sets of steps and you have then arrived to the TurntableGuy NZ’s studio for your appointment!
