Starshipit

Starshipit Deliver great shipping experiences. Hit the ground running and seamlessly integrate with the couriers and eCommerce platforms you already use.

Starshipit is the best practice shipping and fulfilment platform that helps retailers save time and deliver great shipping experiences. If you’ve got a tool that we don’t support, just use our powerful API. Starshipit streamlines every step of the fulfilment process, reducing handling time, minimising human error and improving the customer delivery experience. Free onboarding, training and support for every customer, regardless of size, helps get you up and running with Starshipit from day one. Which features do our customers love? Shipping labels – Retailers can automatically generate shipping labels and print them directly to a thermal printer or download as a PDF – all at once, just a few, or one at a time. Customs and shipping documentation can be electronically completed and submitted. Rules engine – Using a rules engine, retailers can assign couriers to orders according to various parameters. This ensures that you are using the best courier for the job. For example, cheapest available rate, rural deliveries, dangerous goods etc. Invalid addresses – Starshipit corrects invalid addresses using address lookup technology, reducing human error and ensuring customers receive their order on the first attempt, even if they input their address details incorrectly. Branded tracking and shipping notifications – Post-purchase, retailers can send their customers branded tracking pages and email and SMS notifications at key stages of the delivery journey, keeping customers informed and reducing the number of enquiries their support teams have to manage.

🗣️ Calling all Australian and New Zealand retailers shipping online orders to the EU.

There’s a new product code requirement headed your way.

📆 From 1 November 2026, customs declarations for these orders will need Product Identifiers for each item: your own product code, a manufacturer code and a standardised code, such as a GTIN, where one exists.

We’ve added fields for these codes in Starshipit for EU orders sent with DHL Express, FedEx and UPS. You can also import them from Shopify product or variant metafields.

Now’s a good time to check your product data and make sure the right codes reach each order.

💡 What do the codes mean, how do they work alongside HS codes, and what should you do before 1 November?

Our October newsletter went out yesterday, and the message was clear: Peak is won in October 🗓️

Right now, there’s still time to change how orders move through your business.

You can fix a picking process. Set up shipping rules. Tighten stock accuracy. Make packing easier for new staff. Get ahead of the “where’s my order?” messages.

In October, fixing a workflow costs you an afternoon.

In November, it can cost you orders.

Because peak doesn’t necessarily create new fulfilment problems. It puts more orders through the ones you already have.

So, where should you start?

Look for the problem costing you most:
📦 Wrong items being shipped? Add scan-led picking and packing validation.
🚚 Too much time choosing carriers? Use shipping rules to automate the decision.
📬 Multiple orders going to the same customer? Merge them before they leave the warehouse.
💬 Too many delivery questions? Send proactive tracking updates before customers need to ask.
🏭 Stock levels you can’t trust? Fix the gap between what your systems say and what’s actually on the shelf.

You don’t need to fix everything before Black Friday.

You need to fix the thing that’s going to hurt most, while you still have time to do it properly.

That’s the kind of practical shipping and fulfilment advice we share in our bi-monthly newsletter. If you want the next one in your inbox, sign up here 🔗 https://ap1.hubs.ly/H01qnYt0

Orders don't stop for a . 📦

There's no quiet week to switch. Picking doesn't pause. The courier still turns up at 3pm.

🚨 That's the part most migration plans underestimate. Our WMS experts don't.

At we help you plan the switch the way you run the floor: start small, with one location, product group or shift, and get your team trained before anything goes live.

Our specialist onboarding team sets up your warehouse and shipping together, in one system, starting with how you actually receive, pick, pack and dispatch.

Our WMS migration guide covers the groundwork: your team, your data, your processes.

🌟 alert!

We’re proud to be named a finalist in the inaugural Caffeine Prize $10M–$20M category, presented by BNZ.

Since 2014, has been on a mission to make shipping easier for retailers. Today, more than 30,000+ retailers use our software to connect warehouse workflows with shipping - allowing their teams to pick, pack and dispatch orders efficiently and deliver the best customer experiences. 📦

Our customers continue to shape what comes next. When they told us their biggest operational challenges began before dispatch, we launched a Warehouse Management System, bringing stock management and shipping together in one platform.

This recognition celebrates that journey, made possible by our customers, partners and the Starshipit team. 🙌

Congratulations to our fellow finalists. We’re proud to stand alongside ambitious Kiwi businesses taking New Zealand innovation to the world.

See you on 13 November!

What works at 100 orders a day can start to struggle at 300, 500 or more. 📈

As your order volumes rise, your team has more stock to manage, more orders to pick and pack, and more people to coordinate, leaving room for small issues to slow things down.

With more going on across the warehouse, workarounds that once kept things moving can become harder to manage, and existing gaps in the process are harder to ignore.

🔑 That’s one of the key points we explore in our WMS webinar. A warehouse management system isn’t about adding more tech for the sake of it. It’s about giving your team a clearer, more consistent way to manage fulfilment as the business grows.

🚨 Peak season doesn’t create fulfilment problems. It exposes the ones already hiding in your day-to-day processes.

What feels manageable now can quickly become a bottleneck once orders start to build.

👀 The good news? Finding those weak spots now gives your team time to do something about them.

Take our free Peak Readiness Assessment to see what’s working, where the risks are and which improvements to prioritise before peak.

There was something special about being in the room at the SHE-com Community For Women in Ecommerce Roadshow Auckland. 💙

The day went beyond the success stories, making space for the honest side of building an eCommerce business: hard decisions, moments of doubt and the resourcefulness needed to keep moving forward.

Speakers were candid about the realities of growth, including the things that haven’t worked, the everyday problems they’re solving and practical ways they’re using AI and new strategies to work smarter.

Starshipit was proud to support the day as a sponsor and to join the conversation on stage. 🎤

Thanks to She-com for bringing the community together, and to the speakers for sharing real insights attendees could take back to their businesses.
