Sam visited our customers at Mid West Ports (Geraldton) and joined Pilot Ray Pead onboard for an inbound transit.
Gusty conditions on the approach made for a challenging run into the port.
Ray was in full control of the operation, using our HarbourPilot Mk5 Portable Pilot Unit, with Sam observing from the bridge.
Big thanks to Ray, the Captain and the Geraldton team for having us on board.

A great start to the 2026 Australasian Marine Pilots Institute (AMPI) Ports & Pilotage Conference in Darwin.

The conference has kicked off with a diverse programme, insightful presentations, and valuable discussions on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of pilotage and port operations. It's been fantastic to reconnect with customers, partners, and members of the piloting community from across the region.

We're proud to be showcasing our range of Portable Pilot Units (PPUs) and the latest navigation technology designed to support pilots and enhance safe navigation in some of the world's most demanding environments.

It's great to see ChannelPilot being used to support safe and efficient vessel movements, giving pilots the positioning and navigation information they need when operating in challenging environments.
