Most software products quietly lose users because the onboarding is confusing. People don’t leave because your product is bad—they leave because they don’t understand it fast enough. If a new user can’t see clear value in the first few minutes, they’re gone. The fix isn’t adding tutorials or more features. It’s removing friction: show one clear action, guide them to one small success, and make the next step obvious. A product that teaches itself will always outperform one that needs explanation.
