The advent of e commerce has opened up a separate door of modern marketing. This marketing has developed a trend of buying and selling goods and services, virtually. Every company has its own target customers and, always the customers’ behavior, preference and interest to pay the price, are at fore-front of its strategies. The e- commerce has given up a larger choice and a global market access to customers. Due to prioritization of every consideration for the customer’s satisfaction, the virtual business has boomed up in a short time span. Allowing an accurate choice of the original products to its guarantee and durability, the companies have taken sole responsibilities to work out at the customer’s courtyard. The first globally used e-commerce site is amazon.com. At present, almost all the companies in the developed countries have their own e-commerce sites.
The developed countries are very advance in taking advantages of this trend. A large number of companies are very active in facilitating the buyers in these virtual networks. Following this trend, on one hand, the customers are saving their busy time, whereas on the other, the companies are widening its networks and access globally.For instance, in China the shoppers spent roughly $ 213 billion online in 2012 according to a report by Bain & Company (an American global management consulting firm).
The present scenario of e-commerce in Nepal is far different. It is very slow in pace, but most of the customers and companies are aware of its efficiency and uses.
