“केवल ६ अंकले कसरी एउटा परिवारको बैंक खाता खाली भयो?”

काठमाडौँका रमेशले एक बिहान मोबाइलमा आएको फोन उठाउँछन्।
फोन गर्ने व्यक्ति आफूलाई बैंकको कर्मचारी भनेर चिनाउँछ।
“तपाईको मोबाइल बैंकिङमा समस्या देखिएको छ। Verification गर्नुपर्छ,”
उसले गम्भीर स्वरमा भन्छ।
सुरुमा रमेशलाई अलि शंका लाग्छ।
तर फोन गर्ने व्यक्तिले रमेशको नाम, बैंकको शाखा र केही व्यक्तिगत जानकारी सही बताउँछ।
रमेशको शंका बिस्तारै कम हुन थाल्छ।
त्यसै समयमा रमेशको मोबाइलमा एउटा OTP message आउँछ।
फोन गर्नेले तुरुन्त भन्छ —
“Verification का लागि आएको OTP भन्नुहोस्।”
रमेशले धेरै नसोची त्यो ६ अंकको OTP बताइदिन्छन्।
केही मिनेटपछि मोबाइलमा अर्को message आउँछ।
“Transaction successful.”
रमेश अलि अचम्म मान्छन्।
तर त्यसपछि अर्को message आउँछ…
अनि अर्को…
अनि फेरि अर्को।
अब रमेशको मनमा डर बढ्न थाल्छ।
उनी तुरुन्त मोबाइल बैंकिङ app खोल्छन्।
त्यहाँ देखिएको दृश्यले उनलाई स्तब्ध बनाउँछ।
उनको खाताबाट ठूलो रकम निकालिएको हुन्छ।
रमेश तुरुन्तै फोन गर्ने नम्बरमा call back गर्छन्।
तर त्यो नम्बर अब बन्द भइसकेको हुन्छ।
पछि बैंकमा खबर गर्दा रमेशलाई थाहा हुन्छ —
यो OTP Scam थियो।
Hackers ले फोन गरेर OTP लिन्छन्,
र केही सेकेन्डमै खाताबाट पैसा ट्रान्सफर गरिदिन्छन्।

“स्मरण रहोस् —
बैंकले कहिल्यै OTP फोनमा माग्दैन।
OTP, password वा PIN कसैलाई पनि नदिनुहोस्।
सावधान रहनुहोस् —
तपाईको सतर्कता नै तपाईको सुरक्षा हो।”
