One of the grand European names from the early days of high-end audio, the introduction of our first amplifiers in the 1970s was quite a sensation. To illustrate, the revered American Audio Critic magazine tested the amplifier in 1976 and wrote:

ctrocompaniet’s designs have continuously improved and the product range has steadily grown. However, all products are still designed and manufactured in Norway. Our classic product with its unique design has a sound and musicality that has now made us known all over the world. DIGITAL HIGH-END REVOLUTION
The vision that has driven us in the early days has stayed. The answer came in the form of establishing our own team of software engineers. Mastering analog, digital, and software in-house brings both the sonic performance and the experience of browsing through your music library to a whole new level.

Exciting update! Electrocompaniet is rolling out a software update that enables Spotify 24-bit lossless streaming for the Classic product range. This upgrade delivers higher-resolution audio, greater dynamic detail, and a more immersive listening experience from Spotify. All eligible products in the Classic Line will receive this update automatically when connected to the internet. You can also update from within the EC Play app.

March 27-29th, our disitrbutor in Japan シーエスフィールド 株式会社 （CS FIELD associates）, will exhibit a full EC rig, including the flagship power amplifier AW800M, EC 4.8 MKII pre-amp, and ECM1-MKII streamer/DAC, connected to Diptyque audio DP 160 MKII speakers, with Jorma Cables (Paragon, AC Landra RH II) on Solidtech racks at the 23rd Kyushu High-End Audio Fair, held at the Fukuoka International Congress Center.
