CUSTOMER VALUE MANAGEMENT
Regardless of the approach you select, it all comes down to how your company can add customer value.

- You can reduce waste as much as you want, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t sell your product.

- You can invest a lot in your employees, but if it doesn't convert into customer value, it’s a waste.

- You can do improve performance and flow with continuous improvement, operational excellence and business performance management, but why do it, if you can’t convert it into added value?

The perspective of customer value must be translated into every step of your business process to demonstrate the purpose for the individual worker.

DigiLEAN bidrar til bedre resultater og seier i Kavlis Operational Excellence konkurranse.

Stopp og nedetid i produksjonen er typiske indikatorer for effektivitet, og noe alle produksjonsbedrifter har i større eller mindre grad. Kavli satte i gang et initiativ for å minimere stopp og nedetid, unngå repeterende hendelser gjennom læring og kontinuerlig forbedringsarbeid.

Kavli Bergen tok i bruk DigiLEAN som sørger for en synlig oversikt over stoppårsaker i produksjonen. Dette dannet grunnlag for å prioritere oppgaver og forbedringer basert på tapt tid, samt å evaluere forbedringene etter de var innført.

Forbedringene ble også registrert i DigiLEAN, tildelt en ansvarlig, fulgt opp i ukentlige møter og har til sammen ført til forbedrede resultater:

- 90% OEE.
- +5% økning i antall batcher.
- Økt linjeeffektivitet med fokus på 5S.
- 524 forbedringstiltak implementert ved bruk av DigiLEAN.

- Update the board prior to the meeting
- How are we doing? Mood, workload, engagement.
- Clear agenda, yesterday's performance, today's plan, metrics, any challenges to address?
- Top-down support and a problem-solving mindset

Weekly contributions:
- Employee recognition
- Weekly target, general priorities

To build trust in the problem-solving processes, demonstrate that escalated cases are being handled, and involve the operators in the solution and share best practices.

Leader Standard Work (LSW) is a way to streamline the workday for managers and leaders. This happens through standardization of the activities.

It may feel uncomfortable for a leader to do this. Their workday typically consist of making ad-hoc decisions and solve problems throughout the day.

Their ability to follow a plan is limited because they cannot foresee issues landing on their table, but the risk is missing out on tasks critical for front line workers.

Leader Standard Work is also called standard work for leaders. Leaders in Lean need to become incubators for problem solving.
